Types of CCTV Systems...

Conventional CCTV systems use analogue CCTV cameras. Basically, this means a single coax and power cable from each camera back to the recorder. These days, this is normally a digital video recorder (DVR) with hard drive but can still be video tapes on older systems.

We can easily integrate conventional analogue cameras in our state of the art IP based systems.

IP (or network) CCTV systems utilises a computer network instead. These CCTV cameras work just like any device such as a router or work station. This results in less cabling and being able to power the CCTV cameras down the cable (POE-Power over Ethernet) but mainly much better picture quality. Megapixel cameras have up to 10x the resolution of analogue CCTV cameras.

CCTV security surveillance is possible in complete darkness with night vision CCTV cameras.

Wireless CCTV systems are also available even over a long distance (10K or more) using network links.

Our Alnet NetHybrid system is very user friendly and can connect to both Analogue and Network CCTV cameras (up to 32 cameras) on the same system so you do not need to throw away your old cameras. Many of our older analogue CCTV systems are now having Network CCTV cameras fitted. You can also watch live CCTV over the Internet on your Laptop or iPhone, iPad, Android or Blackberry.
